FAQ
Will I definitely get a Mercury account?+
Honest answer: no one, including Mizu, can guarantee Mercury approval, because Mercury makes its own underwriting decisions. What Mizu does is prepare your application correctly the first time, which is where most self-filers get tripped up. Approval rates for well-prepared, straightforward businesses are high in our experience, but we will not pretend it is automatic.
Can non-US founders use Mizu?+
Yes. Mizu is built primarily for founders outside the US. You can start and complete the entire flow from anywhere in the world - no US residency, visa, or physical presence required.
Why Wyoming instead of Delaware?+
For solo founders and small teams, Wyoming is cheaper, more private, and now more common. No state income tax, $60/year annual report fee (vs Delaware's $300 franchise tax), and member names are not required on public filings. Delaware still makes sense for VC-backed startups with complex equity structures — but for the businesses Mizu serves, Wyoming is the better fit.
How is ongoing compliance priced?+
$399/year. Covers federal tax filing (Form 5472 + pro forma 1120), Wyoming annual report, and deadline tracking. Starting in year 2.
What's your refund policy?+
Full refund if you haven't started the wizard. Partial refund possible if you've started but the key filings haven't been submitted. Once the Wyoming filing is in, most of the work is already done, so refunds at that stage are limited to unused portions of the package.
